TRAINING
The Certified Security Officer (CSO) Training Course was created by Select Security with the intention of delivering a more in-depth understanding of particular security-related topics. Two phases make up the CSO program. The CSO Program covers the following subjects: Police Defensive Tactics Training for 4 hours, Patrol Techniques and Criminal Law for 16 hours, and Customer Service Seminars for 24 hours. At Select Security Services, all security officers and supervisors are required to meet all qualifications set forth by the State of California.
QUALIFICATION
All candidates must be adequately educated, have excellent people skills and be able to remain composed under pressure. Additionally, they must meet the qualifications for the state's security officer licensure, be able to walk for extended periods of time, have good eyesight and hearing, and have a proportionate height-to-weight ratio. All candidates must successfully complete the police department's screening process, which includes fingerprinting, an ID check, and license applications. Every employee has a license for the area where they are engaged.
